The Next Big Thing?
4 May 1999

After many suggestions from fans and friends, I finally caved in and posted a couple of my songs in MP3 format. You can hear at least one non-children's and at least one children's song at the ever-more-popularmp3.com site. How many of you think MP3 will make me a big star?

Arlo on the Air
4 May 1999

I don't listen to the radio much, but when I do, it's got to be public radio. When I'm home, that means Chicago station WBEZ. Now I like WBEZ even more, because they played "Anti-gravity Girl" from my demo of the same name this morning! Rock on.

The Big Day
15 April 1999

It's here, it's here! The new children's album I created with Anna Belyaev, A Day at Honey Creek, is officially released today. Check out its brand new web site to hear some samples.

Recording Completed
1 April 1999

The album is done! Well, recording is done, anyway, as of tonight. Anna and I should have the packaging materials for A Day at Honey Creek ready some time next week, so keep an eye on the mailbox (if you're on my mailing list) or The Arlo Boutique for ordering info.

For those of you who thought my previous announcement about A Day at Honey Creek was a joke, check out the lyrics to all 12 songs from the upcoming children's album, which I've just posted.

Anna Belyaev and I will be wrapping up the recording within the next few days, and we're on target for an April 15 release date.

This week only: read what the Chicago Daily Herald thought of Anti-gravity Girl.

Chicago fans, see you tonight!

Upcoming Album
5 March 1999

The rumors are true -- I'm working with Anna Belyaev on a full-length album of original children's music! In fact, we'll start recording A Day at Honey Creek at Carma Studio in Chicago this weekend. We're planning on a mid-April release date, so watch this space for ordering info.

Anna and I had the opportunity to try out some of the new songs at our first children's show on February 26, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. The students at the Galva-Holstein Elementary School (in Arlo's home town of Holstein, Iowa) had us signing autographs for at least half an hour after the show! You too can experience the fun on the Song of the Month page.
